The Griffin Museum of Photography will exhibit False Food series this spring

Paula Tognarelli, Curator and Executive Director of the Griffin Museum of Photography, has selected Jerry Takigawa’s False Food series for an exhibition in the museum’s main gallery. False Food’s narrative examines the gyres of plastic pollution in our major oceans through images of order and beauty. “Takigawa’s work is both metaphorical and lyrical yet it is done in sharp awareness of large facts. Even in the farthest reaches of the oceans, the incidental outfall from our ways of living has become part of the food chain. ” –David Bayles, photographer and author

The exhibit runs from April 9 through June 5, 2015. Takigawa will present a gallery talk at 6:00 pm on April 9 with a reception following from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. The museum is located at 67 Shore Road, Winchester, MA.
