Balancing Cultures to be part of CURRENTS 2020 exhibition at the Ogden Museum of Southern Art

In concert with New Orleans Photo Alliance’s PhotoNOLA 2020, CURRENTS 2020—a NOPA Members’ Showcase—will be on display at the Ogden Museum of Southern Art beginning December 12, 2020. CURRENTS is an annual exhibition that highlights the diverse photographic work being created by New Orleans Photo Alliance members. It is a showcase exhibition designed to give an overview of contemporary photographic practices and projects.

The exhibition features ten artists: George Aidoo, Renee Allie, Hanah Altman,Karen Bullock, Ashleigh Coleman, Andrew Feiler, Marita Gootee, Betsy Gosling, Jerry Takigawa, and Trenity Thomas. CURRENTS 2020 curator, Kilolo Luckett, is an art historian, curator, and writer based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She created By Any Means, an art series that engages directly with leading cultural figures to broaden the scope and understanding of contemporary art influence by black culture.
