Mike Sakasegawa hosts a podcast called Keep the Channel Open  that features conversations with artists, writers, and curators. He discovered Jerry Takigawa’s Balancing Cultures project on Aline Smithson’s blog, Lenscratch. On December 26, 2018, Mike interviewed Jerry at Takigawa Design on Cannery Row in Monterey, California. In this conversation, Mike talked with Jerry about this body of work, about their shared identity as Japanese Americans, and about how Jerry developed a visual vocabulary that has evolved throughout his artistic career.
