Klompching Gallery Presents Takigawa Artist Talk
Jerry Takigawa will join the owners of Klompching Gallery—Darren Ching and Debra Klomp Ching—for an artist talk about his Balancing Cultures photo series on September 24, 2020, from 6–7pm Eastern time. Tickets are $10 and are available at EventBrite.
Takigawa is an independent photographer, designer, and writer. He received the Imogen Cunningham Award, the Clarence J. Laughlin Award, and CENTER’s Curator’s Choice Award. His work is in the permanent collections of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Brooklyn Museum, the Crocker Art Museum, the Santa Barbara Museum of Art, the Library of Congress, and the Monterey Museum of Art. He studied photography with Don Worth at San Francisco State and lives and works in Carmel Valley, California.
Takigawa was selected, along with artists Patty Carroll, Tara Cronin, Marcus DeSieno, and Jesse Rieser, to exhibit in Klompching Gallery’s FRESH 2020 Annual Summer Exhibition. In addition, Klompching awarded Takigawa the prestigious 2020 Rhonda Wilson Award. The exhibition will be on view September 10–October 10, 2020.
