“Living Plastic-Free” Talk and “False Food” Photo Exhibition at Carl Cherry Center for the Arts
On June 22 at 7 pm, in the Carl Cherry Center Theater, artist Jerry Takigawa will introduce Monterey Bay Aquarium climate change interpretive specialist Sarah-Mae Nelson. Nelson will share simple choices we can all make to reduce single-use plastic from our lives and help heal the oceans.
This talk is presented in conjunction with False Food, a solo photo exhibition by Jerry Takigawa that explores our interconnection with the environment. This recent body of work features plastic artifacts retrieved from the Pacific Gyre and the remains of albatross on Midway Island.
